The Role

  • You will work closely with our current BI team to start and develop this data science endeavor.
  • Gather data from various sources to build meaningful insights and make recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Build & maintain Power BI reports & dashboards to communicate findings effectively.
  • Work with Physical and Logical Data Marts in Azure Synapse and SQL Server.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics or other related field, with BI/Data science projects undertaken at university level.
  • 2+ years of experience working in growing organizational BI.
  • Experience in data science applications in a corporate environment is an asset.
  • Fundamental knowledge of BI related concepts is expected.
  • Familiarity with various reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc.
  • Knowledge of Data Lakes, Data warehousing, Data Mart concepts is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Data Modelling, Data Transformation & database normalization concepts is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake, SQL Data Warehouse is an asset.
  • Willingness to stay updated on new technological advances in ML & Data science.
  • Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
  • Passion for data & driving actionable insights from it.
  • Strong problem-solving and logical reasoning skills.
  • Attention to detail and data validation skills.
