About the Role:

The Finance and Strategy team at Samsara is responsible for optimizing the company's capital allocation through high-quality data analysis, proactive and strategic business partnering, and scalable processes and systems.

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to partner with our global go-to-market organization and support finance-led initiatives tied to the company's top-line.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Strategic Decision-Making: Partner closely with leaders across our Sales and Customer Outcomes teams to drive strategic decision-making, investment prioritization, and long-range planning.
  • Support Top-Line Forecast: Support the monthly top-line forecast and prepare related reports on key GTM KPIs.
  • Financial Forecasting: Serve as a key point of contact for questions around the F&S team's Sales financial forecast.
  • Analyze GTM Channels: Analyze potential new GTM channels to complement our existing direct sales and partner sales motion.
  • Data-Driven Analysis: Perform data-driven analysis to identify, evaluate, and execute on value creation initiatives, investment opportunities, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Process Improvement: Build scalable processes and systems to enhance financial visibility, control, and planning effectiveness that support the next wave of Samsara's growth.
  • Cultural Ambassador: Champion, role model, and embed Samsara's cultural principles as we scale globally and across new offices.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, Investment Banking, and/or management consulting.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong financial modeling and analysis capabilities, including advanced Excel / Google Sheets and Powerpoint / Google Slides skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, often changing environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable presenting to senior management.
  • Experience building financial models from scratch.
  • Must be a proactive and highly organized self-starter, able to work independently under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
