We are seeking a highly skilled Finish Carpenter to join our team at 756795 Ontario Ltd. As a Finish Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of craftsmanship in the construction and renovation of residential and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-Construction
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and develop detailed plans and specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers and architects to ensure seamless project execution.
- Construction
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fabricate and install custom woodwork, including trim, molding, and cabinetry.
- Finishing Touches
- Install doors, windows, stairs, and other fixtures.
- Apply finishes, including painting, staining, and varnishing.
- Ensure all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Supervision and Teamwork
- Supervise and mentor junior carpenters and apprentices.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure efficient project execution.
- Tools and Equipment
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Personal Qualities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks.
- 5+ years of experience as a Finish Carpenter or related trade.
- Post-secondary education in carpentry or a related field.
- Valid certification in carpentry or a related trade.
- Excellent physical health and ability to work at heights.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
