About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finish Carpenter to join our team at 756795 Ontario Ltd. As a Finish Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of craftsmanship in the construction and renovation of residential and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Construction
    • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and develop detailed plans and specifications.
    • Collaborate with project managers and architects to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Construction
    • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
    • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
    • Fabricate and install custom woodwork, including trim, molding, and cabinetry.
  • Finishing Touches
    • Install doors, windows, stairs, and other fixtures.
    • Apply finishes, including painting, staining, and varnishing.
    • Ensure all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Supervision and Teamwork
    • Supervise and mentor junior carpenters and apprentices.
    • Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Tools and Equipment
    • Operate power tools, hand tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks.
    Requirements
    • 5+ years of experience as a Finish Carpenter or related trade.
    • Post-secondary education in carpentry or a related field.
    • Valid certification in carpentry or a related trade.
    • Excellent physical health and ability to work at heights.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
