Chief Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to join our team at Silver Hotel Group. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Facilities Management: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.
- Guest Satisfaction: Respond to guest requests and concerns in a timely and professional manner, ensuring that all issues are resolved to the guest's satisfaction.
- Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and ensure that all equipment and systems are functioning properly.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations, such as fire alarms and power failures, and take necessary steps to ensure guest and staff safety.
- Reporting and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and safety inspections. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Technical Experience: A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a technical role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of maintenance staff.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, staff, and vendors.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Knowledge and Certifications: Knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Certifications in areas such as OSHA, CPR, and first aid are an asset.
