About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Security Manager to join our team at the Government of Alberta. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our information systems and data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement information security policies and procedures to protect against cyber threats
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement security measures and ensure compliance with government regulations
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on information security best practices
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner
Requirements
  • University degree in a related field such as Business, Leadership, or Information Technology
  • Minimum of four years' experience in information security, including direct management of technical staff and accountability for complex IT teams
  • Current information technology security certification from a recognized security institution
  • Experience leading teams in a provincial government, judicial, or court business environment
