Island Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnosing diseases, disorders, and conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including healthcare management and therapeutic interventions.
- Prescribe medications in accordance with statutory and regulatory standards, limits, and conditions.
- Provide professional guidance and support to other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare team members to identify trends and patterns that impact patient care.
- Develop and implement population-based strategies to improve health outcomes.
- Participate in peer review and self-review to evaluate the effectiveness of patient care services.
Requirements:
- Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the relevant regulatory body.
- Advanced education and training in nursing, including a Master's degree or higher.
- Proven experience in primary care and healthcare management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
