Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Veterinary Care Specialist to join our Neurology department at Mississauga Oakville Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional care to our patients and clients, working closely with our Neurology RVTs, ACAs, and board-certified Veterinary Neurologists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Care for our patients, including feeding, walking, and providing a gentle voice of assurance
  • Ensure animal housing or enclosure is clean, sanitary, and comfortable
  • Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for patients and pet parents, with a compassionate and nurturing attitude
  • Perform general housekeeping duties, including pet holding areas and common areas when required
  • Provide excellent customer service skills, putting pets and pet parents at ease and creating a welcoming environment
  • Capable of independent initiative, adapting to changing situations, and prioritizing workload
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and maintain a high quality of care in a busy environment
  • Willingness to learn more about pet nutrition, veterinary services, and updated medical office procedures
  • Collaborative approach with a team focus, working with veterinary staff on various tasks and treatments
  • A love of all companion animals

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position, including some Saturdays.
