About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Planner to join our team at BMO. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert financial planning and investment advice to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans for clients, taking into account their unique needs and goals.
  • Provide expert investment advice and guidance to clients, including recommendations on investment products and strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring their financial needs are met.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to provide innovative and effective financial solutions to clients.
  • Collaborate with other members of the team to achieve business objectives and deliver exceptional results.
Requirements
  • Typically between 3-5 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CFP designation preferred or one of the following: Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designation, Wealth Management Essentials (WME) + Financial Planning Supplement, Professional Financial Planning Course (PFPC), Financial Planning I & II (FP I & II).
  • Canadian Securities Course - Licensed to sell mutual funds excluding QC or IQPF in Quebec.
  • Advanced working knowledge of the financial industry.
  • Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.
  • Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.
  • Collaboration & team skills - In-depth.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills - In-depth.
  • Influence skills - In-depth.
