**Job Summary**
The Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Education Department is seeking a highly motivated and responsible individual to fill the position of Student Support Worker at Bell's Point Elementary School.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Direct students to their classrooms and escort them as necessary to their classroom or the administration office.
- Assist teachers in removing students who are disrupting the class and escort them to the administration office for corrective action.
- Inspect restrooms to ensure students are not loitering or damaging facilities.
- Report any damage or writing on the walls to the administration office.
- Take students caught damaging the restroom facilities to the administrative office for action.
- Monitor the arrival and departure of school buses to ensure students arrive and depart safely.
- Monitor the courtyard during all lunch breaks.
- Substitute for classrooms that are lacking a teacher until relief arrives.
- Take appropriate action to defuse any confrontational situations.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum of Grade 12 Education.
- Demonstrates a mature, responsible attitude necessary for the position.
- Ability to work in a positive manner with children.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and peers.
- Ability to defuse confrontational situations.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License is an asset.
- Must be able to provide an acceptable criminal record and vulnerable sector check.
