Qualifications:

  • Postsecondary diploma or degree in a relevant field of study, such as power engineering
  • At least 3 years of related industry experience and training
  • Certification by Technical Standards & Safety Authority (TSSA) for Power Engineering 4th, 3rd, or 2nd class Operating Engineer
  • Previous teaching experience at a postsecondary level and/or adult training experience is an asset
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to contribute to a positive team environment and foster the same in students
  • Commitment to lifelong learning
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite and software related to the power engineering field
