Academic Instructor for Financial Derivatives Course

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic instructor to teach our STAB41H3 Financial Derivatives course at the University of Toronto. As a Sessional Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, creating engaging learning experiences, and assessing student progress.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver course content, including lectures, assignments, and exams, that align with the program's learning objectives.
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting active participation and collaboration among students.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
- Maintain accurate records of student grades and progress.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A strong background in finance or a related field, with experience teaching statistics courses at the university level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
As a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Toronto, you can expect a competitive salary, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. The estimated salary range for this position is $9,457.90-$10,570.01 per session, depending on your rank and length of service.
In addition to your base salary, you may also be eligible for additional compensation, such as sessional fees and stipends, based on your specific circumstances.
