Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commodity Sales Manager to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving results for our distribution center by creating and maintaining business relationships with key customer accounts within the building supply industry.

The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team-based culture. They will be accountable for managing all aspects of the business with their customer, including product sales and promotion, accounts receivable and conflict resolution.

The Commodity Sales Manager will also be responsible for helping create customer targets and plans, conducting business meetings in multiple venues, and collaborating with the Division Manager to determine necessary strategic sales approaches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify decision makers within targeted leads to begin the sales process.
  • Collaborate with the Division Manager to determine necessary strategic sales approaches.
  • Support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth.
  • Address client inquiries regarding status of orders, payment, refunds, etc.
