About the Role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a key member of our care team, responsible for coordinating the delivery of resident-centered care. This role requires a strong leader who can assess resident needs, implement and evaluate individualized care plans, and ensure the highest level of quality care.

Responsibilities
  • Assess resident needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Liaise with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Administer medications and treatments within scope of practice
  • Monitor and report changes in resident condition
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and care plan reviews
  • Support administrative requirements, including admissions and confidentiality
  • Actively participate in orientation and education of new staff
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of community policies and procedures
Qualifications and Skills
  • Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing program and current licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives
  • Valid Occupational First Aid Level 1 certification
  • Successful annual Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) competency testing
  • Previous experience in long term care an asset
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
  • Computer skills, including basic navigation of Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Demonstrates collaborative and team working skills
