Job Title: Senior Digital Design Engineer

Microchip Technology is seeking a highly skilled Senior Digital Design Engineer to join our Data Center Solutions Business Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing complex digital integrated circuits and leading the development of our industry-leading PCIe Switch products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Design complex digital integrated circuits at the block, subsystem, or device level (100K to 50M+ gates), coded in Verilog and System Verilog.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to the design and verification team, ensuring the successful development of our products.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate regularly with architects, design and verification teams to resolve issues, communicate status, and solve technical problems.
  • Protocol Knowledge: Read and understand applicable storage and computer interface protocol standards, including PCI-Express and AHB/AXI bus protocols.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • RTL Design experience using System Verilog and Verilog.
  • Experience with complex ASIC design flows, including block and chip level simulation and debug, logic synthesis, static timing analysis, layout, and revision control.
  • Working knowledge of design and verification tools, such as Synopsys Design Compiler, Cadence Incisive, waveform viewers, and other similar tools.
  • Scripting and programming skills using csh, bash, perl, python, tcl, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of logic synthesis and static timing analysis.
  • Experience in designing chip top level with IOs, pin out, and package design.
  • Ability to debug EDA tool issues or design-related issues.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
