About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Class 1 Truck Driver to join our team at AMERI-CAN LOGISTICS LTD. as a long-haul truck driver. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to work with a reputable company and contribute to the success of our logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Drive a tractor-trailer combination vehicle to transport goods and materials over long distances, following established routes and schedules.
  2. Load and unload goods, ensuring that they are securely fastened and ready for transport.
  3. Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and to identify any potential issues.
  4. Conduct emergency roadside repairs and perform brake adjustments as needed.
  5. Maintain accurate records of hours worked, fuel consumption, and other relevant data.
Requirements
  • A valid Class 1 Driver's License (A license) and Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • At least one year of experience as a Class 1 Truck Driver, with a proven track record of safe driving and adherence to company policies.
  • Excellent knowledge of transportation regulations and laws, including those related to cross-border travel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical stamina to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and to lift and move heavy objects as required.
