About the Role
Fiddlehead Technology is a leading Data Science start-up company with a 10-year history of innovation. We're currently expanding our team to meet the growing demand for Machine Learning and AI solutions in the consumer-packaged goods industry.
We're seeking an experienced software engineer to design and implement tools for automating data collection, transformation, and machine learning models. You will also be responsible for developing agile processes to efficiently implement ongoing software projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and recommend tools for automating data and machine learning pipelines
- Design and implement data-driven solutions
- Develop and advocate data governance and software best-practices
- Design and implement service-oriented solutions
- Mentor and lead junior resources
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or relevant experience
- Strong software development background preferably in Python or Java
- 5+ years of SQL experience (No-SQL experience is a plus)
- 5+ years of experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining data processing systems
Preferred Skills
- Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure Data Factory, Azure Managed SQL, Azure Databricks, Azure Blob storage
- Experience developing analytics-driven solutions in Microsoft PowerBI
- Past experience with Apache Airflow or similar workflow management system
