**Job Summary**

Canada Post is seeking a reliable and organized individual to join our team as a Rural and Suburban Relay Mail Carrier. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering mail and packages to various communities across the country.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Deliver mail and packages to customers in a timely and efficient manner
  • Operate a postal vehicle in various weather conditions
  • Interact with customers in a positive and courteous manner
  • Sort, collect, and distribute mail and packages in a secure and timely manner
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of local infrastructure, including roads, customers, and delivery receptacles
  • Treat various postal products and services, including change of address, damaged mail, and bills
  • Wear and maintain visibility of Canada Post identification while delivering and collecting mail and packages
  • Lift and transport articles up to 50 pounds
  • Have experience with deliveries and use of a vehicle in various weather conditions

**Requirements**

  • Valid provincial permanent driver's license - Class 5 or G
  • Safe driving record
  • Vehicle with a minimum cargo space of 50 cubic feet
  • Automatic transmission
  • Electric windshield wipers
  • Metal roof and an additional power outlet to install a Canada Post panel and a warning light
  • Passenger window sill height between 38 and 45 inches from the floor and maximum interior width of 56 inches
  • Fifth door or hatch to allow for the loading of oversized and bulky items (preferably)
  • Provide and maintain the required automobile liability insurance
  • Notify your insurance company of the use of your vehicle for Canada Post employment
