About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Institutions Examiner to join our team at Velocity Trade Capital Ltd. As a Financial Institutions Examiner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the compliance of financial services and institutions with governing legislation and regulation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Identify clients' financial goals and objectives to provide tailored financial solutions.
    • Monitor client investments to ensure alignment with their financial objectives.
  • Financial Analysis
    • Analyze clients' financial records to identify areas for improvement.
    • Make recommendations concerning cash management, insurance coverage, investment planning, retirement, and estate planning.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Review and examine financial services and institutions to ensure compliance with governing legislation and regulation.
    • Assist in the planning and execution of financial statement audits.
  • Professional Development
    • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
    • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration.
  • Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a financial institution or regulatory body.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bloomberg Terminal.
    • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook course certification.
