Job Opportunity:

The Manitoba Métis Federation is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the Little Infinity Child Care Centre in St. Andrews, MB.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to provide high-quality care and education to children, while also assisting in delivering Métis-specific programming and curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment that promotes Métis culture and heritage.
  • Develop and implement engaging programs and activities that support children's learning and development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective team approach.
  • Provide support and guidance to children as they navigate social and emotional challenges.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required.

Requirements:

  • ECE II/III Diploma or equivalent recognized training.
  • Minimum of two years' experience as an Early Childhood Educator or relevant role.
  • Experience working with children with additional support needs.
  • Knowledge and ability to implement effective positive guidance techniques.
  • Valid 1st Aid/CPR Certification.
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Check, Criminal Record Check, and Child Abuse Registry Check.
  • Knowledge of Red River Métis culture, heritage, and language an asset.
