Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Director to join our team at CB Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the overall success of our division, driving business growth, and ensuring exceptional delivery of service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute long-term growth plans in collaboration with the Executive team
  • Conduct rigorous organizational structure and talent reviews, developing and implementing development plans as needed
  • Provide visible leadership across all facilities, modeling the company's vision and values, and ensuring alignment to division goals and priorities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive operational plans, monitoring daily operations to ensure exceptional delivery of service to clients
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures
  • Manage key performance indicators relative to sales growth, collections, productivity, inventory control, and profit margins
  • Oversee P&L and identify opportunities for growth in local and regional markets
  • Manage, train, and develop Operations staff in hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates, addressing complaints, and resolving problems
Requirements and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience leading an end-to-end customer-facing operations
  • Exceptional ability to consider all the detail while simultaneously focusing on the 'big picture'
  • Excellent ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with a team, clients, and internal managers
  • Building materials industry an asset
  • Ability to manage, influence, and plan in a dynamic environment
  • Strong ability to demonstrate analysis and problem-solving skills, while managing a team to execute a dynamic operational plan
  • Calm demeanor with a bias for action and taking the initiative to ensure results
