Retail Department Manager Job Description
At Shell Gas Station, we are seeking a highly skilled Retail Department Manager to join our team. As a Retail Department Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail department, ensuring that our store remains well-stocked and efficiently run.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign sales workers to duties to ensure seamless store operations.
- Recruit, train, and develop staff members to achieve high performance standards.
- Order merchandise in a timely manner to meet customer demand.
- Authorise the return of merchandise to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Generate reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
- Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages in a professional manner.
- Organise and maintain inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales workers to achieve business objectives.
- Manage cash handling procedures to prevent losses.
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in retail management.
