Senior Risk Consultant

BDO Canada LLP is seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Consultant to join our Risk Advisory team in Ottawa. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in helping our clients navigate complex risk landscapes and identify opportunities for growth.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with engagement teams to plan and deliver internal audits and other related risk advisory projects
- Gather and review relevant information to inform risk assessments and the development of audit programs
- Support engagement teams in the development of high-quality client deliverables
- Maintain a proactive and logical approach to information gathering and analysis, presenting complex ideas clearly through writing and speaking
- Ensure high-quality client service through daily progress of fieldwork and communication of updates to both Managers and fellow staff
- Demonstrate and apply strong project management skills, work collaboratively with team members, and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness and quality of deliverables and services
- Solicit and apply feedback from Managers and peers to enhance the quality and efficiency of future engagements
- Assist Managers in developing/refreshing methodologies related to existing and new solutions and services
- At least 3-5 years of professional experience in an internal audit, risk, or related setting
- Diagnose project issues, build solutions, and draft impactful communications for clients
- Bilingual in French and English is an asset
