Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Support Staff to join our team at Jomaa's Pizza & Chicken in the Downtown Location. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, ensuring excellent customer service, and supporting our chefs with food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas to ensure an efficient service.
  • Package take-out food and prepare it for collection by customers.
  • Portion and wrap foods accurately to meet customer expectations.
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items under the guidance of our chefs.
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, providing exceptional customer service and attention to detail.
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and within their expiration dates.
  • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs safely and efficiently.
  • Handle and store cleaning products responsibly to prevent accidents and damage to equipment.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit to support food preparation and presentation.
Requirements:
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required; we will provide training to develop your skills and knowledge.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, and reliability are essential qualities for this role.
  • A team player with initiative and dependability is highly valued in our kitchen team.
