About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Front End GUI Developer to join our team at Axelon Services Corporation. As a key member of our AMER team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality software solutions for our Communication Surveillance Platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and prioritize platform developments.
  • Establish strong relationships with senior stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure corresponding IT needs are properly documented.
  • Participate in agile software development life cycles, including technical analysis, documentation, development, testing, and code reviews.
  • Work closely with the production support team to release and maintain components.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior team members.
  • Propose and provide feedback on architecture, design, technology choices, and technology direction of the platform.
  • Participate in requirement and design meetings for new functionality.
  • Provide 3rd line application support on a rotation basis within the broader team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven track record in developing and mentoring developers in a full-stack Java environment, preferably in the communication surveillance field.
  • Advanced understanding and working experience of various fundamentals and concepts in the domain of communication surveillance within the financial sector.
  • Strong grasp and working experience in Java, Python, VueJS, and distributed computing environments.
  • Experience in agile environments as a technical leader for full-stack Java development in distributed environments, collaboratively with Data Scientists.
  • Front End GUI development experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Python and JSON.
  • Strong UNIX skills.
  • Expertise in CICD, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Ansible, Jenkins, and SonarCube.
  • Experience with Java, J2EE, JavaScript, Perl, and all project lifecycle stages.
  • Ability to manage conflicting requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills in a front-office setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or related field.
  • Experience with Front Office traders, IT support, and Operation teams in a Capital Markets domain.
  • Experience with code optimization, parallelization, and deployment.
  • Familiarity with handling large amounts of data.
  • Experience integrating data sources such as audio communications and electronic communications.
