Job Summary

The Technical Product Owner is a key role within our Technology team, responsible for driving business value and delivering high-impact projects. As a mid-senior level position, this role requires strong leadership and technical skills to liaise between business users and technologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive requirement elicitation, analysis, and prioritization for Agile teams
  • Own team-level backlog, including identifying business value, requirement breakdown, and priority
  • Work with Technology teams on planning, implementation, testing, and production rollout
  • Provide technical leadership on complex projects and ensure essential procedures are followed
  • Contribute to formulation of standards and strategies for own area and other functional areas
  • Resolve issues with impact beyond own area and apply in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures
  • Work as a team to achieve objectives and negotiate with internal and external parties
Requirements
  • 6-10 years of experience in a financial services firm in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Project Manager role
  • Working knowledge of various technologies, including Python, MongoDB, Java, and cloud-based services
  • Hands-on experience working directly with development teams and prior business analysis experience in the domain of risk
  • Experience working in Agile environments and building and coaching Agile teams
  • Engineering, Finance, or Mathematics background preferred
  • Demonstrated capability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with front office, quantitative stakeholders, and front office technology teams
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Master's degree preferred
