Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical CAD Designer to join our team at Arcadis. As a key member of our transportation team, you will play a vital role in creating and developing electrical plans and designs for transportation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize AutoCAD and MicroStation software to create detailed drawings, schematics, and layouts for transportation electrical systems, including lighting, signaling, power distribution, and control systems.

• Assist engineers and designers in developing electrical design concepts and specifications, collaborating closely with project teams to ensure that drawings accurately reflect design intent and meet project requirements.

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including plans, elevations, sections, and wiring diagrams, to support the implementation and operation of electrical systems.

• Coordinate with other drafting and design team members, as well as external stakeholders, to integrate electrical designs seamlessly with overall project plans.

• Conduct thorough reviews of drawings and documentation to identify and resolve discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies, ensuring that drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.

Requirements

• Associate degree or certificate in drafting, design, or related field.

• Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit, with a strong understanding of drafting principles and techniques.

• Previous experience in electrical drafting or design, preferably in the transportation or infrastructure sector.

• Detail-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
