Job Summary

We're seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our kitchen team as an Opening Line Cook. This role is responsible for setting the pace for the day, ensuring the kitchen is prepared for a fast-paced environment, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare menu items to A&W recipes, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Ensure the kitchen, food prep areas, and storage areas meet restaurant cleaning requirements, promoting a safe and healthy environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with a team of cooks to prepare work for other shifts, fostering a collaborative and supportive team culture.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor product freshness, rotate stock, and ensure adequate preparation for the day, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory.
  • Food Safety: Adhere to all food safety standards, maintaining a clean and sanitized environment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Filter fryers and perform other equipment maintenance tasks as required.
  • Pre-Shift Preparation: Ensure the kitchen is set up and ready for the day, including receiving stock and preparing for customer demand.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work on your feet for long periods, lift 50 pounds, and maintain a fast-paced work environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Reliability: Must be reliable, punctual, and able to start at 5:30am.
