Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to operate our tractor-trailer units. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving as part of a two-person team or convoy, loading and unloading goods, obtaining special permits and documents, and overseeing the condition of the vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods at various locations
  • Obtain special permits and documents required for international routes
  • Operate and drive tractor-trailer units to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance on the vehicle
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo
Requirements:
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel cross-border
  • Basic security clearance
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and working in various locations. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
