Logistics Coordinator

Job Overview:
The Logistics Coordinator - Material Support will provide critical support to the Main Operating Base by ensuring the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials in a safe and efficient manner.
About the Role:
- Conduct receiving, issuing, shipping, and non-technical inspection of all materials, verifying their safe storage.
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certified and authorized to conduct transportation of hazardous materials.
- Dispose of waste products safely, including POL and other items.
- Perform stock taking and complete stock evaluation reports.
- Purchase local materials as required.
- Negotiate with approved vendors for supplies and services.
- Pack and prepare kits for aircraft deployments.
- Maintain minimum-maximum stock levels to support MOB operations.
- Collect data and generate reports on material transactions.
- Inspect tool cribs, order tools, and perform calibration requirements for MOB equipment.
- Prepare material transaction vouchers and logistics documentation.
- Update publications, maintain records, and complete detailed register entries.
- Support electronic record keeping system (ERKS) for Stores operations.
- May require flight in support of maintenance, ferry flights, or deployed operations.
- Deploy to other main operating bases, remote sites, mobile repair parties, and ferry flights.
- Work varied shifts, including night shifts, as assigned.
- Provide on-the-job training to colleagues and supervise tasks.
- Attend training sessions for trade development and certification purposes.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment by removing debris and conducting FOD inspections.
About You:
- Familiarity with material control, warehousing operations, shelf life management, stock taking, shipping, receiving, HazMat, and POL disposal.
- Proficiency in standard computer systems and specialized software used in Stores operations.
- Knowledge of Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS) procedures for Stores.
- Awareness of Quality Systems principles.
- Demonstrated ability to use standard computer programs and specialized ones applicable to Stores duties.
- Valid driver's license to operate company vehicles and tow tractors.
- Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent, with related training and experience in material control and warehousing.
- At least 3 years of experience in material control and warehousing operations.
