About the Job

As a Snow Removal Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of crew members in clearing snow and ice from commercial, institutional, and industrial properties. You will direct your team in operating snow blowers, shovels, and other hand tools to clear snow from paved surfaces. Additionally, you will perform equipment maintenance, inspections, and ensure that all equipment is functioning safely.

You will also be responsible for lifting and spreading de-icing products weighing over 50 pounds. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong leadership abilities. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in snow removal as a crew lead, a valid Ontario G license (driver's abstract required), and a cell phone with data. Preference will be given to candidates with experience using sidewalk tractors or snowrators.

Job Requirements
  • Full-time, on-call position available November to April, dependent on weather

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a salary, we provide safe, well-maintained equipment, experienced leaders and managers, and direct deposit. All part-time positions are on-call and dependent upon winter weather. Shifts will be for accumulating or anticipated snow and ice events, clean-up events, or freeze and thaw events. Many shifts are overnight hours. Applicants must be available and committed to work on very short notice, at all times of the day and night, as dictated by the weather and operational response requirements.
