Job Title: Financial Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Atelier Gérard Beaulieu inc. as a permanent employee.

Job Summary

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for managing balance sheets and profit/loss statements, planning, setting up and administering accounting systems, analyzing clients' financial records, and ensuring accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
  • Plan, set up and administer accounting systems
  • Analyze clients' financial records
  • Arrange training for staff
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control
  • Develop financial plans for clients
  • Prepare reports and audit findings
  • Make recommendations concerning cash management, insurance coverage, investment planning, retirement and estate planning
  • Prepare financial statements and reports
  • Recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices
  • Develop and maintain cost findings, reporting and internal control procedure
  • Prepare income tax returns from accounting records
  • Review and examine financial services and institutions to ensure compliance with governing legislation and regulation
  • Analyze financial documents and reports
  • Examine accounting records
  • Investigate possible unethical conduct or breeches of securities or commodity futures law
  • Provide financial, business and tax advice
  • Assist in the planning and execution of financial statement audits
  • Variance analysis
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Oversee payroll administration
Requirements
  • Charterered Professional Accountant (CPA)
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in accounting and finance
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a team environment
