About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Systems Administrator to join our team at Highlight Motor Freight Inc. as a key member of our IT department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Administration: Coordinate access and use of computer networks, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance.
  • System Installation: Install software, web server hardware, and software, as well as evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade web server hardware and software, as well as perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures, as well as perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
  • Network Optimization: Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance.
  • Web Development: Modify Web pages, applets, and scripts, as well as research and apply meta-data to Websites and register Websites with search engines.
  • Customer Support: Respond to requests for help and information from Website visitors and Website designers.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in network administration or a related field.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
