Precision Machinist Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Precision Machinist Specialist to join our team at Manpower Services Canada Limit. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for computing dimensions and tolerances of machine parts, measuring and laying out work pieces, and reading engineering drawings.
Responsibilities:
- Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts using advanced mathematical calculations
- Measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly, ensuring accuracy and precision
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to determine project requirements
- Repair and maintain machine tools and parts to ensure optimal performance
- Set up and adjust production machinery/tools to meet specific project needs
- Fitness and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail
- Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate measurements
- Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances, providing solutions to minimize errors
- Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports to track project progress
- Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to meet project demands
Requirements:
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in precision machining
- Ability to work on-site at a physical location, with no option for remote work
- Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent
- Machinist Trade Certification and Red Seal Endorsement
- Valid driver's license and ability to transport equipment
- Steel-toed safety boots and face shield
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Repetitive tasks requiring attention to detail and precision
- Physically demanding work involving standing for extended periods and weight handling up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
