Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Precision Machinist Specialist to join our team at Manpower Services Canada Limit. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for computing dimensions and tolerances of machine parts, measuring and laying out work pieces, and reading engineering drawings.

Responsibilities:

  • Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts using advanced mathematical calculations
  • Measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly, ensuring accuracy and precision
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to determine project requirements
  • Repair and maintain machine tools and parts to ensure optimal performance
  • Set up and adjust production machinery/tools to meet specific project needs
  • Fitness and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate measurements
  • Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances, providing solutions to minimize errors
  • Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports to track project progress
  • Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to meet project demands

Requirements:

  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in precision machining
  • Ability to work on-site at a physical location, with no option for remote work
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent
  • Machinist Trade Certification and Red Seal Endorsement
  • Valid driver's license and ability to transport equipment
  • Steel-toed safety boots and face shield

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Repetitive tasks requiring attention to detail and precision
  • Physically demanding work involving standing for extended periods and weight handling up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
