We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team in Calgary, Alberta.
The ideal candidate will be local to Calgary and have a strong understanding of Provincial and Federal OHS legislation.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in workplace incident investigations and provide accurate interpretations of applicable legislation.
- Identify deficiencies and develop H&S initiatives to mitigate risk.
- Assess risk management and implement solutions to reduce injuries.
- Liaise with contractors and regulators to facilitate H&S activities.
- Develop and deliver effective H&S training programs and presentations.
- Train employees on Forklift and Power Equipment operation.
- Certification in OH&S System Building, OHS Roles & Responsibilities, Hazard Assessment & Control, and Joint H&S Committees/Representatives.
- Minimum 2 years of OHS experience.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and hazard identification.
- Ability to train, supervise, and coach employees.
- Advanced skills in MS Office and ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines.
