Electrical Engineer Job Description

Spark Power is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and leading electrical power distribution systems for industrial facilities, utilities, and renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform power system studies using SKM, EasyPower, or ETAP software.
  • Develop electrical engineering packages for construction projects, including short-circuit analysis, protective device coordination, and arc flash studies.
  • Design and analyze ground grid systems for new construction or substation upgrade projects.
  • Assist in developing protection philosophy and protection system scheme and design sets.
  • Interface with clients, owners, consultants, and construction crews to ensure successful project execution.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of direct electrical power distribution design and engineering experience, industrial facilities preferred.
  • P.Eng. designation will be considered an asset.
  • Proficient in various electrical calculations, including voltage drop, cable sizing, and grounding design.
  • Proficient in various electrical software, including SKM, EasyPower, CYMCAP, and ETAP.
