About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Manager to lead the development and delivery of our Global Data Platform.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and execute the product vision, roadmap, and business outcomes for the Global Data Platform in alignment with the organization's broader goals.
  2. Connect the business and technical worlds, ensuring seamless collaboration between stakeholders.
  3. Own the user experience, serving as the internal voice of the user within the product team, supported by data platform engineers, service management, and UI/UX as needed.
  4. Maintain team health by working closely with the scrum master and the digital data team on a daily basis.
  5. Own the product backlog, continuously refining and prioritizing it to ensure optimal results.
  6. Lead business-critical operational performance indicators and technical metrics.
  7. Negotiate with data platform users and the delivery team, empowered to make decisions related to product features, backlog prioritization, and release planning.
  8. Understand and adjust for nuances and customizations required for the technical platform product, including implications of cloud, data, and AI infrastructure, vendor capabilities, and key user needs.
  9. Define user stories and accept them from the delivery team.
  10. Define and measure business value and incorporate user feedback to ensure continuous value delivery.
  11. Develop launch plans and ensure readiness of the various cross-functional partners.
  12. Ensure good practices in architecture and that the product meets applicable operational, quality, regulatory (Data Privacy, GxP, SOX, etc.), and cybersecurity requirements.
  13. Provide consistent updates to leadership and executives, making communication easy and clear regarding product issues and decisions.
About You

Key Functional Requirements & Qualifications:
  1. Ability to prioritize among conflicting priorities and requests in a complex, multinational environment.
  2. Data-driven – product analytics matter.
  3. Curiosity, asking the "Why" questions from the business to understand business rules better and the "How" questions from the development team to create a better vision of what the final product should be.
  4. Proven experience with Agile practices and expectations.
  5. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  6. Creativity to go beyond current processes to deliver the best solution for a problem or opportunity.
  7. Experience guiding large-scale, data-platform / data lake / data warehouse products.
  8. Experience leading cross-functional teams: clarifying requirements, resolving conflicts, defining roadmap, and driving progress.
Key Technical Requirements & Qualifications:
  1. Agile / Scrum practices using Atlassian software (Jira, Confluence).
  2. Deep understanding of technical platform products, and working with technical users such as engineers, ML engineers, and data scientists.
  3. Deep functional understanding of platform technologies (cloud, data, AI) and how they enable value delivery.
  4. 8+ years' experience with data transformation, data migrations, and development / implementation of data platforms (cloud, data lake, or relational data warehouse-based preferred).
  5. Knowledge and experience working with modern cloud-based systems (AWS preferred) and data and AI practices such as data and ML engineering, DataOps, MLOps.
