Job Summary

The Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) is seeking a Developmental Pediatrician to join the Child Development and Rehabilitation Program at BC Children's Hospital/Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children and the University of British Columbia.

About the Role

This is an outstanding opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Developmental Pediatrician, you will be responsible for assessing and managing children with neurodevelopmental disorders, including cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, and intellectual developmental disorder.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide medical expertise to support inter-disciplinary teams in the management of children with disabilities
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and develop treatment plans for children with neurodevelopmental disorders
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to children and families
  • Participate in clinical care, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Fellowship in Pediatrics from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
  • Subspecialty training and certification in Developmental Pediatrics (FRCPC) or equivalent training within another country
  • Eligibility to obtain a specialist's license to practice medicine in British Columbia
