We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for supporting month-end reporting, financial statement preparation, and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Full cycle accounting, including reviewing tasks completed by junior staff
- Month-end closing functions, including posting journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Preparing working papers and schedules for prepaid accounts and reclassifications
- Preparing consolidated reports at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end
- Assisting the Controller with preparing and delivering financial statements
- Setting up projects within the ERP system and extracting information and reports
- Processing intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and adjustment entries
- Liaising with auditors and providing documentation and information
- Financial and costing analysis on financial results and variance analysis against budget/standards
- 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience in a senior capacity
- Accounting education and CPA enrollment or designation
- Experience working with ERP systems and strong Excel skills
- Previous experience with costing, inventory, IFRS, and/or US GAAP
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
