Our team is currently working on several transportation projects in the Ottawa area, requiring a skilled Junior Inspector to join our contract administration team. As a Junior Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with contract documents, design specifications, safety standards, and regulations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing inspection activities to promote compliance with contract documents, design specifications, safety standards, and regulations;
  • Assisting with site surveying tasks and performing field measurements to ensure accurate progress payments;
  • Aiding in the preparation of project-specific reports and contributing to the management of materials sampling and testing requirements;
  • Supporting effective working relationships with clients, contractors, and other agencies;
  • Championing a positive safety culture within the team.

**Key Requirements**

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field;
  • Designation as a Road Construction Junior Inspector (rcji) Technology/Technician or Engineer-in-Training with PEO/O.A.C.E.T.T.;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work well in a team environment, and proficiency with MS Office;
  • A valid Ontario 'G' Driver's License and access to a vehicle.
