Key Responsibilities

  • Implement project plans and prioritize safety and quality to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
  • Coordinate tasks related to Mechanical and Electrical systems to meet project goals.
  • Direct and coordinate mechanical and electrical on-site activities to meet project specifications and codes.
  • Manage drawings and information to prevent interference issues.
  • Oversee functional performance testing of building systems.
  • Support Project Managers and Superintendents with schedule updates, RFIs, shop drawing reviews, and project completion requirements.
  • Develop and manage mechanical and electrical schedules, including submissions, deliveries, installations, and inspections; track progress and address delays.
  • Maintain regular communication with Mechanical and Electrical sub-trades to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Contribute to M&E Scope of Work and Tender Packages by reviewing specifications, drawings, budgets, and subcontractor contracts.

Requirements

  • A degree or diploma in a construction-related field and 5+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical construction, or an equivalent mix of technical training and experience.
  • A solid understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering systems, principles, and practices.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills for managing schedules and collaborating with project teams.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and codes.
  • Experience coordinating with subcontractors and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
