Job Overview

The Canadian Cancer Society is seeking a highly skilled Client Services Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Lodge operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of our program services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement the effective delivery of the Lodge program, ensuring a high level of customer service and a safe environment for clients, staff, and volunteers.
  • Provide support to clients, including tours of the lodge and encouragement to participate in on-site programming.
  • Refer clients to other support programs as needed, maintaining non-medical boundaries with clients and health professionals.
  • Manage program data in our database and ensure effective communication with the Lodge Manager and other staff.
  • Liaise with contractors and vendors to facilitate lodge operations and maintenance.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions, providing input on program challenges and shared projects.
  • Ensure adherence to established emergency procedures and safety practices, assessing the appropriateness of lodge admissions and lodge stays.
  • Supervise volunteers, facilitating communication and providing support and guidance to promote a welcoming environment.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Lodge services, Canadian Cancer Society priorities, and community health partner initiatives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively work with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to manage potential conflicts and ensure access and resolution of concerns.
  • Strong PC skills and operation of standard office equipment, with the ability to work a 24-hour flexible schedule.
  • Organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks.
  • Diploma or degree in a related field, with three to five years of experience in a related role.
