PINEOAK CONSTRUCTION INC. is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labour and material costs for our construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction methods and materials, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You will work closely with our project managers and other team members to ensure that our estimates are thorough and meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
  • Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project requirements
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate estimates
  • Develop and maintain a directory of suppliers and trade contractors
  • Set up and maintain cost monitoring and reporting systems

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
