Production Manager

Voyis is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee all aspects of manufacturing and manage the technologists who build, test, and certify our products at our Waterloo facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage personnel, training, growth, hiring, and department organization for the manufacturing team.
  • Develop and facilitate a training program for the production team.
  • Represent the manufacturing team during new product introductions, engineering change notices, and initiatives.
  • Implement new department processes relating to continuous improvement, 5S, and other industry best practices.
  • Report on production metrics and initiatives.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years' experience in Production Management at an electronics manufacturing facility.
  • Engineering or Technologist certification in electrical, mechanical/mechatronics, or quality.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and their implementation.
  • Experience with electrical assembly and testing, including soldering, connector assembly, wiring, etc.
  • Experience facilitating technical training and developing robust processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exposure to ERP systems, like NetSuite.
  • Experience with New Product Introductions, prototyping, and product development.
  • Knowledge of IPC-620/610, Experience with PCBA testing, handling ESD-sensitive materials.
  • Familiarity with embedded computing technologies, cameras, and lenses, CNC machining, and metal fabrication.
  • Six Sigma belt designation.
