About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Musical Instrument Technician to join our team at Sinoman Music Ltd. As a key member of our repair and maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our stringed instruments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and diagnose issues with stringed instruments to determine the necessary repairs
  • Use hand, power, or specialized tools to repair or replace defective parts and components
  • Test and adjust repaired instruments to ensure proper functioning
  • Calibrate instruments using hand tools and maintain a high level of precision
  • Train or arrange for training to ensure team members have the necessary skills
  • Supervise workers and projects to ensure timely completion and high-quality results
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions
  • Recommend personnel actions to ensure a well-functioning team
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure efficient use of resources
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed at all times
  • Prepare reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities to ensure seamless workflow
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in stringed instrument repair and maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office and computer-aided design software
  • Excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, bending, and lifting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with a variety of stringed instruments, including guitars, violins, and cellos
  • Knowledge of musical theory and history
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience with quality control and assurance processes
