Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Plant Systems Engineer to join our team at our Villawood manufacturing plant in New South Wales, Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting the Aveva-based (also known as WonderWare or WW) and related automation systems and manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, maintain, troubleshoot and modify Aveva (WW) InTouch and InBatch: Ensure effective system integration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of all plant systems components.
  • Add/modify/write PLC code for changes to the Making system process and equipment: Adhere to global plant systems policies.
  • Manage and maintain WW MES client modules and Recipe Manager: Ensure accurate data management and reporting.
  • Maintain all reports connected to the Plant Systems database (DB): Coordinate with local integrators, Regional / Global Plant Systems for updates and correction as necessary.
  • Responsible for PCs, servers, and networks on the manufacturing network: Work closely with IT to ensure seamless operation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree: Relevant engineering field such as Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical.
  • 5+ years experience in engineering/automation: Experience with FMCG plant systems, SCADA systems, PLC programming, SQL database, and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of industrial networks and protocols: Devicenet, Modbus, OPC, EthernetIP, ASi, etc.
Preferred Requirements

While not essential, experience in the following areas would be beneficial:

  • Aveva (WW System Platform, Intouch, Historian): Windows Server Platform, Rockwell Thin Manager, Nutanix / VMWare knowledge, AGV's, SAP, PLC.
