About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Advisor to manage an assigned portfolio of high-value and/or complex small business owner relationships. Key responsibilities include:

  • Building strong, ongoing relationships with clients to provide comprehensive advice and enable them to build successful businesses.
  • Developing relationships with local business leaders and Centres of Influence to create a strong presence within the community.
  • Partnering with fellow advisors to create a customer-centric environment, ensuring excellent business development techniques and a deep understanding of the small business market.
  • Providing expert advice on financial statements, risk management policies, and legal documentation to support business growth.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A results-oriented attitude and sound knowledge of the small business market, including financial statements, risk management policies, and legal documentation.
  • Excellent business development techniques, including a deep understanding of small business legal structures, competitor offerings, and alternate sources of financing.
  • Good organizational skills and adaptability to a constantly changing environment.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with others and meet the needs of diverse clients.
  • An education in a business-related discipline or equivalent work experience as a small business owner.

Location
