We are seeking an experienced Network and IT Security Administrator to join our team at Fed IT, a leading recruitment firm specializing in IT recruitment.

About the Role

This is a permanent position based in Montreal with a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 per year on a 40-hour week basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other infrastructure components.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure optimal uptime and availability.
  • Implement and manage security solutions, such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems, to protect against cyber threats.
  • Analyze security events and identify potential vulnerabilities to respond effectively.
  • Manage user access and enforce security policies in line with industry standards to maintain data confidentiality and integrity.
  • Conduct regular security audits and provide recommendations for system enhancements to safeguard against emerging threats.
Requirements
  • DEC in Computer Science and Networking or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years of experience in a similar role, with significant expertise in network administration and IT security.
  • In-depth knowledge of network technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and VPNs, as well as network equipment and security tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage workloads effectively.
