Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care. As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide personal care and support to our clients, assisting them with daily activities and personal hygiene. You will work in a safe and respectful environment, adhering to our resident-centred approach and relevant government standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist clients with daily activities, such as eating, toileting, and mobility
  • Support clients with their physical, social, and emotional needs
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure high-quality care and services
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, as required

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario, or equivalent
  • Experience in long-term care setting an asset
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take initiative, problem solve, and time manage
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to speak and converse in Chinese an asset

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work permanent day shift, including weekends and short shifts
