About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Printing Press Operator to join our team at Helix Impressions Inc. as a Flexographic Press Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our flexographic presses, ensuring high-quality production and efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Press Operation: Mount plates or cylinders and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal print quality.
  • Scheduling and Planning: Prepare production schedules and plan production methods to meet customer demands.
  • Quality Control: Monitor regular press runs for quality using computer control consoles and make adjustments as needed.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Remove and clean plates and cylinders at the end of press runs and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Team Leadership: Instruct apprentices and direct press crews to set up, operate, and shut down presses.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by wearing steel-toed safety boots and adhering to company health and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a printing press operation role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
