We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Tandel Group Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building maintenance and repair, with experience in tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, as well as operating industrial vacuum cleaners and performing minor repairs to heating, cooling, and electrical systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, performing routine maintenance tasks, and making adjustments to plumbing and electrical systems as needed. They will also be required to contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment, and perform safety and security checks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sweep, mop, and wax floors and stairs
- Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and dirt
- Empty trash cans and other waste containers
- Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings
- Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, and electrical systems
- Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance
- Perform safety and security checks
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in building maintenance
Work Environment:
The successful candidate will work 30 hours per week in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on maintaining a clean and safe working environment. They will be required to work independently and as part of a team, and will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
